About Federal Safety (OFSC) Accreditation

Only builders who are accredited under the Federal Safety (OFSC) Accreditation Scheme can enter into head contracts for building work that is funded directly or indirectly by the Australian Government.

Achieving OFSC Accreditation is a two-stage assessment process comprising of a desktop assessment and an on-site audit. OFSC Accreditation sets a high benchmark and some applicants may need several months to reach the standards it requires.

Note: Evidence of a Health and Safety (OHS) Management System certified to AS4801 or, alternatively, certified to OHSAS 18001 specifications is a prerequisite for OFSC Accreditation.
